National Space Centre
It was a cold and breezy day when Phab set off in search of new worlds at the National Space Centre in Leicester. Upon arrival we explored the planets, learned about the history of space exploration, how different cultures viewed the solar system and the international space race.
Then it was time for us to have a go! We had interactive astronaut training, launched bottle rockets and saw how we would fair as a space crew landing on a new planet in the simulator, it was a bumpy ride to say the least! We calmed down a little however as we watched an amazing 3D show about the creation of the universe.
Feeling inspired and full of knowledge we headed home, but we might just be seeing some scientists in our midst!
As always, thank you to all our members and volunteers for a day that was out of this world!
