Magic Show & 10 Year Celebration!

Last Sunday we had our first trip of the year! As it’s Phab’s 10 year anniversary, we had to have a celebration to fit the occasion; starting with an interactive show from DNA Kids in the morning followed by a fete-style party in the afternoon! It was the perfect way to welcome everyone back after a long summer - as well as meet some new members and volunteers.

Showman Sheridan got everyone involved in the morning; there was lots of great dance moves from Louise and Rue and a challenging limbo contest - congratulations to Josh and Elsie for making it under the lowest bar! Afterward, it was time for the magic show where Joseph made a fantastic magician’s assistant, earning him his magic wand. Meanwhile, there was some sparkly artworks being made by Jasmine and Bethany – complete with lots of stickers!

After a brief break from the party for lunch, we returned to a room transformed into a fete-style celebration. There were lots of stalls from hat-making and fun-fair games to cake-decorating and face-painting! Parents, old members and old volunteers started to arrive and we all got stuck into the activities - Noah enjoyed the face-painting while Jasmine and Bethany had fun decorating the cupcakes!

As the day was coming to an end, we all gathered together to share our favourite memories from the past 10 years. A few favourites included the disco on the Residential Trip, getting to fly a plane and Cadbury World in the snow. We then finished the day with a Pinata and lots of sweets!
