Usually held on fortnightly Sundays during term-time, we aim to offer fun-filled events and days out that our members may not otherwise be able to enjoy (whether that be for logistical, financial or any other reasons). This page displays a selection of the incredible variety of exciting days out we have recently enjoyed!
We're always on the lookout for new ideas though, so please do get in contact if you have any suggestions.

Alton Towers 🎢
Last weekend, we rounded off another exciting year of Phab with our annual trip to Alton Towers! Upon arrival, we split off into our groups with everyone feeling full of excitement and eager to get the day started. Those of us looking for medium level excitement first made our way to Marauder’s Mayhem, which left us a bit dizzy, but smiling and excited for more. Our biggest thrill-seekers began with Wicker Man, a wooden roller coaster that raced through many twists and turns.

Conkers! 🌳🦆🚂
Recently, we took an adventurous trip to conkers! When we arrived the sun was beaming- perfect for the day ahead. We split into our separate groups to take it in turns giving each activity our best shots. First off was the high ropes, for those feeling extra brave was the highest course, complete with a huge zipline to finish. And for those who fancied something a bit closer to the ground, was the option of the middle ropes, with just as much fun as the high ropes but without

Science, Art and Dance 🕺
Last month we had a jam-packed day of fun at the engineering, science and learning building. We started off the day with a super high energy dance class where we moved to songs from some of our favourite movies, including the lion king and the greatest showman. Everyone did a superb job at showing off their skills and abilities to the instructor- she was very impressed! Next up we had an art class, kindly hosted by our member Jasper’s mum. Each of us had the chance to paint a

Creswell Crags🦣🌳
A couple of weeks ago, Phab had an adventurous day at Creswell Crags. Once we had arrived, we all set off in our different groups so we could take it in turns to experience all the different activities at the venue- each activity as exciting as the last! We all loved going into an actual Stone Age cave, where we tried our hand at replicating some of the animal noises that would have been heard at the time and had the opportunity to hold some really cool fossils, stones and bo

Animals and Carnival 🎪
Last week, we kick-started the new year with our animals and carnival trip. The first half of our day entailed an entertaining and engaging magic show, as well as the opportunity to hold, touch and look at a fantastic range of animals. Some more exotic like the lizard and the snake, while others were more close to home, like the super cute hedgehog! Mr Twister, the magician, even made balloon animals for everyone- so for those not so keen on the real ones there was still fun

Winter Party & Panto!
A couple of weeks ago, we had our winter party and panto trip. This year, we watched the fantastic robin hood- the crowd went wild! Every single one of us got involved with the singing and dancing throughout the show, and some of us were even lucky enough to meet the cast and take pictures with them at the end. After this, we headed back to campus for an afternoon of fun. Each group got to experience the music workshop where Donald, the music teacher, was full of energy and m
