Science, Art and Dance 🕺

Last month we had a jam-packed day of fun at the engineering, science and learning building.

We started off the day with a super high energy dance class where we moved to songs from some of our favourite movies, including the lion king and the greatest showman. Everyone did a superb job at showing off their skills and abilities to the instructor- she was very impressed!

Next up we had an art class, kindly hosted by our member Jasper’s mum. Each of us had the chance to paint a treasure box to take home with us at the end of the day, some people kept it simple while others painted some really cool designs. The creativity didn’t stop there! We also decorated masks which we could wear throughout the day.

After lunch, we all had a relaxing moment in the wonderdome which told us a story about the solar system and aliens and life in other galaxies. This was such an amazing experience as it felt like we were actually in space being surrounded by the planets.

Finally, our day ended with an engaging chemistry workshop where we loved hearing from our member Tim, who happily shared all of his science knowledge with the group. With the help of his extraordinary knowledge we got the opportunity to attempt to build a molecule as well as watching fun experiments involving elephant toothpaste and invisible fire starters.

Overall, this was an amazing day absolutely packed with exciting activities. We can’t wait to see you all again for our next trip!
