Cadbury's World!
Last Sunday we made our way to the historic village of Bournville to visit Cadbury’s World! As a Phab-favourite, members and volunteers were excited to see what was in store.
First we enjoyed a tour around the factory, exploring the history of Cadburys and learning how their iconic chocolate is made. We found out about the Cadbury Foundation; a wartime charity, as well as the innovation that led to Cadbury becoming the brand that we see today.
After all our learning, we were treated to the chance to sample some melted chocolate and were able to write our names and draw pictures with tempered chocolate! We were also able to ride aboard the Cadabra ride through the chocolate wonderland.
Next up we made our way over to watch the Freddo’s Treasure Trove show. Here we met Freddo and Captain Jack who taught us what it takes to become a pirate on the seven seas! It was then time for our 4D cinema experience. Everyone was laughing as we held on tight to our motion seats. The immersive movie took us all over, from a speedy rollercoaster to high in the sky in a plane!
Of course, we had to finish the day off at the gift shop where we found all our personal favourites as well as some treats exclusive just to Cadbury’s World!
It was a fun-filled trip and a great way to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Cadbury’s chocolate. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it a great day!
