Alton Towers 2023

With our suncream and sunglasses at the ready, we set off early on Sunday morning to Alton Towers for our final trip of the year and what was sure to be a great day with fantastic weather. Excitement for the trip had been building throughout the year and culminated on the bus journey where everyone discussed which ride they were most excited for. Alton Towers has over 40 attractions on offer, so there really was something for everyone to look forward to.

Once successfully parked and through the gates we were welcomed by dancers and stilt walkers. We quickly applied an extra layer of suncream before splitting into groups and racing off to the first attractions.

The thrill-seekers of the group made their way over to the park’s busiest areas and enjoyed the hectic Congo River Rapids and each of the 14 loops in The Smiler. Those that wanted a more relaxing day out headed straight for CBeebies Land and within minutes were on board the Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure. This was followed by front-row seats to a musical and dance-filled performance: Teletubbies Big Band Live Show. After taking a breather in the shade for lunch, the group headed back out for a Tree Top Adventure and drive in Postman Pat’s Van.

To end a fantastic day we were treated to a refreshing ice lolly and a trip to the gift shop. Thank you to all the members for making not just Alton Towers, but a whole year of PHAB trips so much fun. We look forward to seeing you all next year and hope you have a great summer!
