Flying High in Burton on Trent
We went for an extremely exhilarating trip to fly small aeroplanes in Burton on Trent. Sitting in the cockpit with a trained pilot, everyone had their own steering joystick to help fly and land the planes! With no wind, everyone got the opportunity to take a 20-minute flight, dipping and ducking through the clouds to admire the sights from hundreds of metres in the air. The pilots told us afterwards that each of our members had full control of their plane for around 80% of the flight, showing just how talented a group of individuals we have!
Everyone had a great time in the planes, doing arts and crafts and hanging out with their friends. It was a really fantastic thrill that would normally be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but we’re looking forward to doing it again in the future!
