Black Country Living Museum
A couple weeks ago, we took a trip to visit the fascinating Black Country Museum! Everyone was excited to explore the historic site and immerse themselves in the past.
On arrival, we were amazed by the incredible setting and couldn’t wait to get started. We began with a lively and immersive public school lesson from the early 20th century, which gave us a glimpse into what education was like back then. It was fascinating to learn how students were taught in the past!
Next, we enjoyed a demonstration of mining equipment and techniques, showcasing the impressive and tough work of miners. After that, we visited the vintage cinema to watch an entertaining period film and learned more about the history of cinemas. This was a highlight for many of us!
We then strolled around the site, admiring the historic buildings and speaking with the knowledgeable staff, who shared fascinating insights about life during that time. Along the way, we watched trolleybuses and horse-drawn carriages pass by, adding to the charm of the day.
To wrap up, we stopped by the gift shop before heading back to campus, bringing a fun and educational outing to a close. It was truly a day to remember!
