Twycross Zoo
On a sunny spring morning Phab boarded the bus bright on early to head to Twycross Zoo, ready to see some exotic animals! Upon arrival we soon split off to make the most of what there was to see.
We saw apes and chimpanzees right up close, we watched otters playing, penguins splashing about in the water and a snow leopard on the prowl!
After lunch we went to learn more about the animals with talks from the zookeepers about the giraffes and the lemurs as well as visiting the butterfly house and hand feeding the lorikeets with honey and nectar.
We had a brilliant time seeing all the animals and learning about the zoo's plans for conservation, as always thank you so much to all our members and our volunteers and we can't wait to see you on the next trip!
