Cake decorating and animal experience 2020!

Sunday’s Phab trip was a little different this week; rather than travelling to a nearby venue we decided to bring the Phab party back to campus! The morning began with our members expressing their inner star baker by decorating cupcakes and ginger bread men with icing, chocolate and thousands of fancy sprinkles. Our next stop was to glam ourselves up with face-paints, hair braiding and temporary tattoos! Meanwhile our other members got stuck into some crafts, games and enjoyed the movies we had to offer projecting on the big screen.

The sight of all of the cakes sure did make us hungry, so after tucking into our lunches and cupcake creations our members could sit back and enjoy the cinema experience with bags of popcorn.

Next, Kristan from Lion Learners bought some of her very special fury (and not so fury!) friends to visit. We were able to pet rabbits, cuddle with guinea pigs and even hold hedgehogs. Kristen’s crew also included a snake, bearded dragon and not to mention a huge tarantula!

That wasn’t all for our phab-tastic fun day, to finish off our members got stuck in to making some amazing animal-themed arts and crafts – we had wonderful CD tortoises, origami animals and pine-cone hedgehog creations. It really was an action-packed day of fun!
